2. Easy vegan wellington
Attempting a wellington for the first time, or want a foolproof option? It doesn't get easier than our showstopping sweet potato and porcini mushroom version. Punchy festive flavours such such as cranberries, nutmeg and pomegranate molasses balance well with herby sage and rosemary, while walnuts provide a satisfying crunch. Save time and effort by wrapping your filling in a ready-made dairy-free puff pastry case and brush with a mustard-milk mixture to seal and give it a flavour boost.
3. Miso mushroom & spinach pithiviers
Although a little more effort, these umami-packed pastries can be made up to one month ahead and frozen. Packed with portobello mushrooms, garlic, miso and spinach, serve sliced open to reveal the appealing cross-section.
4. Whole roasted butternut squash with Christmas stuffing
Packed with festive flavours from dried cranberries, walnuts, warming spices and sage leaves, this vegan centrepiece tastes as good as it looks. Serve with the squash seeds and slice to serve.
5. Smoky roast celeriac galette
Celeriac sometimes get overlooked when it comes to festive feasting, but when roasted in this recipe with smoked paprika, chipotle chilli flakes, maple syrup and thyme leaves it makes an easy and delicious main event for the big day. Shop-bought puff pastry tends to be vegan, but just make sure to double check the packaging.

Beetroot brings bright col0ur to this impressive-looking vegan main, while vegan soft cheese with chives, lemon, thyme, garlic and oregano make it a flavour-packed vegan option. The caramelised walnut brittle for topping gives it that extra special festive touch.
7. Jewelled squash, chestnut & mushroom wreath
If you want a vegan centrepiece to impress, this magnificent jewelled wreath really does deliver the wow factor. A hearty filling of squash, mushrooms, lentils and onions is flavoured with sage, rosemary and nutmeg. The crowning glory is a vibrant 'jewelled' glaze of cranberries and apricots which not only looks stunning but provides a touch of sweetness to balance the umami stuffing. (At any other time of year you could substitute with nuts and seasonal herbs for a standout dinner party dish.) Looking for a fuss-free vegan main? This sweet potato and chestnut-filled filo pastry take just 15 minutes to prep and then you can let the oven do all the hard work. It uses only a handful of ingredients, but punchy additions such as sage and cranberry sauce give it a real flavour boost.
19. Christmas wreath
