Delicious but the quantities need to be adjusted – I made this recipe but for only 2 portions of chicken and I still felt there could have been more sauce. I also halved the water quantity which resulted in a stickier consistency (which is a good thing).

This is not teriyaki chicken. The recipe has tried to sub mirin and sake with a large amount of honey, and following the instructions results in candied chicken bits. The addition of rice vinegar is also strange…maybe an attempt to make up for the flavours which should come from mirin and sake?

I tried this recipe tonight and it did not disappoint! Excellent flavors and quick and easy to prepare! There was nothing to dislike! Eleven out of ten!
