  • 1.2 kg eel
  • 5 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 50 g ground almond
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup of grated tomato
  • 1.2 l water
  • 0.5 kg potatoes
  • Salt to taste

    Method

    • step 1

      Wash and clean eel well and cut in to even bite size pieces.
    • step 2

      Heat the oil in a saucepan, and add a mixture prepared with the paprika, garlic, ground almond and cayenne pepper.
    • step 3

      After 30 seconds add the grated tomato and water.
    • step 4

      Bring to a boil then add the eel and chopped potatoes.
    • step 5

      Simmer for 15 minutes.
    • step 6

      Serve immediately.
