- 400g dried mixed fruit
- 300g granulated sugar
- 300g plain flour
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 beaten egg
Method
step 1
Soak the dried fruit for 2 hours in a mug of boiling hot tea, using 2 tea bags to give a strong taste.step 2
After the fruit has soaked - preheat the oven to 160C/gas 3.step 3
Mix all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl, then place into a lightly greased round cake tin and bake for 2 hours.step 4
Place on a wire rack to cool, before tucking in!!!!!!
