Ben’s Minecraft Creeper Cookies

For the cookies...
- 125g butter
- 100g light brown sugar
- 125g caster sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 225g self raising flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp green food colour
For the icing...
- 125g butter
- 100g light brown sugar
- 125g caster sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 225g self raising flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp green food colour
- 125g black ready roll fondant icing
- Edible glue
- Black food colour (if fondant is not black)
Method
step 1
Preheat the oven to 180*c gas mark 4step 2
Cream butter and sugars,then add egg and vanilla.step 3
Sift in the flour and salt and then add the green food colour.step 4
Grease or line a baking tray, then dollop even sized blobs of mixture. The size depends on the size of the cookie you would like.step 5
Place in oven for 10/12 minutes until they are soft and crispy on the outside.step 6
Take them out of the oven and leave them to harden on a wire cooling rack for 5 minutes.step 7
Roll out the fondant icing and mix in the black food colour if it isn’t already black.step 8
Cut out creeper faces which you can find on the internet by searching up Minecraft creeper face. Glue them onto the cookies using the edible glue.step 9
Now for Ben’s favourite part... EATING!!! These are delicious warm and they also store well as long as don’t get eaten up straight away!!
