  • 150g SR Flour (Gluten free)
  • 25g Ground Almonds
  • 175g Caster Sugar
  • 175g Stork Margarine
  • Teaspoon of Baking Powder (Gluten free)
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 3 Tablespoons Orange Marmalade
  • 3 Tablespoons Orange Marmalade for glazing
  • Icing Sugar and water for drizzle

    Method

    • step 1

      Mix all ingredients together with a spoon then whisk with an electric whisk until fluffy
    • step 2

      Place into a greased paper baking tin
    • step 3

      Bake at 160 fan for 40-45 minutes
    • step 4

      When cooked heat 3 tablespoons of marmalade and a tablespoon of water. Brush into cake. Leave to cool
    • step 5

      Make the drizzle by mixing the icing sugar with water until quite runny. Drizzle over the cake

    Cake has now been in oven for1 HR and it's still very wet, followed instructions to the letter but it's not looking good ☹️

    Love this recipe but need to cook alot longer than 45mins. I used a loaf tin and is perfect

    I used a 2lb loaf tin. Cake sank in the middle. Not a good recipe

    I had exactly the same problem. Standard loaf tin, and didn't touch oven until 45mins, and badly sunk in the middle. Very disappointing 😞
