    question

So if I butter the bread and put it butter side down whilst I put the fillings on how do I avoid making a mess on a surface?

Put the first slice into the pan butter side down (I prefer to use mayo as you get a crispier finish) then build the sarnie cheese ham etc the bung the top side on butter side up !

Epic and so easy! No mess after throwing my toastie maker in the bin after sandwiches began literally falling apart they had stuck so much. I came across this recipe on a lazy Sunday. I was sceptical if it is as good as a sandwich toaster I found it better use a non stick pan and no mess at all …
