  • 125g butter
  • 100g Brown sugar
  • 125g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g sultanas
  • 2 tbs brandy
  • 225g self raising flour
  • Pinch of salt

    Method

    • step 1

      Pre heat oven to gas mark 4 (180ð)
    • step 2

      Mix & cream butter, caster & Brown sugar, until a smooth paste
    • step 3

      Once smooth mix then add the lightly beaten egg and vanilla extract
    • step 4

      In stages adds the flour and salt until smooth, then add sultanas & brandy mix together until absorbed
    • step 5

      Then pop the mixture into bun cases, put into oven for around 15 minutes then leave to cool. The buns should be gooey and crispy on the outside
