For the marie rose sauce

  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • juice and zest 1 lemon
  • pinch of cayenne

Method

  • step 1

    Mix together all the ingredients for the Marie Rose sauce and set aside in the fridge. Do the same with the tomato salsa ingredients. These can be chilled for up to 24 hrs.

  • step 2

    Arrange the lettuce leaves, prawns, crab and chives in separate bowls. Put everything on the table with a pile of lemon wedges.

  • step 3

    At the table, add some prawns and crab to the lettuce leaves, spoon over some tomato salsa and Marie Rose sauce, and scatter over a few chives. Squeeze over a little lemon juice, if you like.

Wow. I put the tomatoes in boiling water to help remove skins. I used sirachacha in the salsa instead of Tabasco. Everyone loved this dish . So fresh and looks fab.

I made this for friends last night - was delicious and loads of Tabasco was fine! Will definitely make again.

This recipe is easy to follow but there is an ERROR in the tomato salsa where is calls for 1 1/2 tablespoons of Tabasco!! If you used this much you probably would burn your mouth quite badly! A little shake of Tabasco is ample. Other than that, a tasty health dish.
