Method

  • step 1

    Put all the ingredients apart from the honey in a pan and cook over a medium heat for 10-15 mins, stirring often, until the oats and carrots are soft and the porridge is creamy.

  • step 2

    Add a little more milk as it cooks if it’s too thick. Serve with a splash more milk and a drizzle of honey, if you like.

i didn’t really measure the ingredients- just sort of eyeballed it so i did over spice it a little but i really liked this! i added a bit of cream cheese mixed with icing sugar on top and i sprinkled on some chopped pecans which was absolutely delicious- will be making again

Does taste like carrot cake, quite nice but not very morish. Not as good as the apple and linseed recipe I tried on here last week.
