When I made this it mostly tasted like melted butter - may have been because I used Braeburn apples.

question

How long does this keep for in the fridge? Thanks

Super easy to make, freezes well and better than any apple sauce from supermarkets.

question

Do I need to cook this to finish as I am dishing up or can I make it earlier in the day? I wonder if it will go brown if I pre make it.

Love it! Butter adds richness. Great filling for small pies when making mince pies.
