Put the grated apple in a bowl and add the oats, seeds, half the nuts and the cinnamon. Toss together well. Stir in the yogurt and 100ml cold water, cover and chill for several hours or overnight. Spoon the muesli into two bowls and top with the sliced banana, sultanas and remaining nuts.

Hi, thanks for your question. This will keep in the fridge for about 4 days. We hope this helps. Best wishes, BBC Good Food Team.

Is it possible to modify a recipe once it’s in my collection - i.e I like addition of maple syrup , vanilla paste and berries but I’m likely to forget next time I make it!

I add in some dried fruits - mango, apricot, sultanas around 25gm in total and soak overnight in apple juice. Then serve topped with natural yoghurt, and banana and/or other fresh fruit.

A good recipe, but I think it would be more authentic to chop the apple into small pieces rather than grating it. More like the muesli I have in Austria.
