Lucy Pepper
Lucy Pepper has lived in Portugal for most of her adult life, moving there a few years after falling in love with the landscape, the people and the food during an art school field trip to the Douro Valley.
As well as being a writer, she is an illustrator and motion graphics designer, and much of her work in all those areas is dedicated to deciphering the Portuguese. She has written three books concerning food; The Book of Disgusting Recipes (for kids!), Eat Portugal, a guidebook to Portuguese food for visitors, co-written with Célia Pedroso, and How Not to Starve in Portugal, a portrait of Portugal told via the medium of food.
She currently lives in buzzing Lisbon, wishing visitors would put on more sunscreen.
