Method

  • step 1

    Make the tea with 1.2 litres water and the sugar. Add mint to the pot and infuse for 10 mins. Strain and cool.

  • step 2

    Pour into a jug, stir in the juices and serve with orange slices, mint and plenty of ice.

Can I do the recipe with another juice other than orange as I am allergic to oranges.

I realise it is a bit late, but you could, though it would probably work better with a more acidic juice, e.g. cranberry.

I made as per the instructions but found it quite low on sugar so i would recommend at least 03 if not 04 tbsps of sugar. The orange juice masked the sweetness. I also tried one batch with 3/4th a glass with the citruc ice tea and 1/4th ginger ale. It adds this zing to it. Loved it...

I made this just for a family dinner and it went down really well even with my father who wasn't an Ice Tea sort of man.
