I made my first cocktail and chose French 75 we loved this.

eddhedley

Exactly how many French 75s had the writer of the recipe had when they decided it would be a good idea to shake a cocktail with fizz in it?!?!?

Megrat123

it says to shake the syrup, lemon juice and gin not the champagne. I thought the same when skim reading at first

Clegs

The balance of lemon juice and sugar syrup suggested in this recipe are incorrect. They need to be equal ideally so I used a tablespoon of each with gin quantity as stated.

jamiemawer

They are not wrong, they are just not to your taste. I skip the simple syrup altogether. However, good o see a fellow aficionado of the only cocktail mentioned in "Casablanca".
