Mitshel Ibrahim

Mitshel Ibrahim has a wealth of food knowledge at his disposal: from his Italian upbringing in Milan and Egyptian heritage – his parents ran a restaurant – to working with some of London’s most renowned chefs. He is now the head chef at Ombra, a canalside Italian restaurant in Hackney. Taking inspiration from the Venetian bacaros, Ombra is a relaxed spot where a glass of wine is enjoyed with a simple yet delicious plate of food. Mitshel has also recently bought a mill and his team is experimenting with organically grown UK grain for its pasta, which he believes will create tastier and more nutritious dishes.
