  • 125g treacle
  • 75g golden syrup
  • 1 teaspoon gluten free bicarbonate soda
  • 160g gluten free flour can be self raising or plain whatever you have in stock
  • 280g gluten free oats - grind to oatmeal
  • 200g margarine
  • 2 teaspoon ginger ground
  • lemon zest of half and juice of half a lemon
  • 250g brown sugar
  • 70ml water

    Method

    • step 1

      melt marg a min in microwave or pan on stove, add sugar first, then heat a minute in microwave or on stove and mix, then add water, then add rest of ingredients
    • step 2

      grease and line a 9 inch square ish tin
    • step 3

      pour in mix and bake at 160 degree c for 45 minutes approx. wants to be dry on top and a little bit of spring (won't ever be very springy due to the oats)
