- 2 sachets yeast (0.5 onz)
- 2 tbs sugar
- 0.25 extra virgin olive oil and more for brushing
- 2 tsp salt
- 4 cups plain flour
- 1.5 cups warm water
Method
step 1
Put water in a bowl and stir in 1 tbs sugar Sprinkle yeast on top Cover and leave 5 mins till frothystep 2
Whisk oil and remaining sugar and together Add to yeast and waterstep 3
Add flour and stir into sticky dough Use oiled fingers or wooden spoonstep 4
Transfer to oiled container Brush top with oil Cover with cling film and leave to prove in warm draft free place till double in size about 1 hourstep 5
Turn out onto lightly floured surface and knead very lightly Cover dough balls in flour to prevent sticking
