Cake
- 6oz Self Raising Flour
- 1tsp Baking Powder
- 6oz Butter
- 6oz Caster Sugar
- 3 medium eggs
- 2 tbsp Milk
- Finley Grated rind of 2 lemons
Drizzle
- 6oz Self Raising Flour
- 1tsp Baking Powder
- 6oz Butter
- 6oz Caster Sugar
- 3 medium eggs
- 2 tbsp Milk
- Finley Grated rind of 2 lemons
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 4oz Caster Sugur
Method
step 1
Sift flour and baking powder into a big bowlstep 2
Add all other cake ingredients into bowl and beat until smoothstep 3
Pour into a greased/baselined 2lb loaf tinstep 4
Bake in preheated oven 180C for 45-1hrstep 5
Put lemon juice and sugar in a pan and heat gently until the sugar has dissolvedstep 6
Drizzle syrup over warm cake so it soaks into the cake
