- 225g self raising flour
- 50g butter
- 100 ml milk
Method
step 1
Put the flour in a bowl and add the butter, cut into piecesstep 2
Rub the butter into the flour until it looks like breadcrumbsstep 3
Add enough milk to make a soft doughstep 4
Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface until 1-1.5 cm thickstep 5
Cut the scones and place on a baking traystep 6
Bake at 200°, gas mark 6, 180°(fan oven) for 10-15 minutes until golden brown
