From its Rocktanium range, this frying pan is available in a wide range of sizes, from 20-30cm. It features a speckled, slightly textured non-stick coating and is relatively lightweight.
The pan handle is ergonomically designed and the curves fit neatly to the contours of the hand. There’s also a neat little hanging hole at the top. The Rocktanium range is suitable for all hob types, is oven-safe up to 210C and is also dishwasher-safe.

What is the Stellar Rocktanium frying pan like to use?
This frying pan is nicely balanced. It’s light, though not so light that it feels cheap.
The handle is a good length and ergonomically shaped to fit the contours of the hand. It’s made of one solid piece of metal, meaning there’s nowhere for water or food to hide. Plus, there’s a hanging hole in the end for easy storage.
This frying pan takes around 2.5 minutes to heat up, which isn’t the fastest (but by no means the slowest, either). The pan is fairly slow to respond to changes in temperature, making it better suited to one-temperature cooking.
Although the non-stick coating is highly effective, we're glad to find that it is also dishwasher-safe. We're just as happy to see that the pan is also oven-safe to 210C, making it uber-versatile.
Results
We test this frying pan out using two simple but effective breakfast recipes: American pancakes and a basic omelette.
While we want to see a non-stick coating that truly is non-stick, we also want to ensure that food can cook effectively and that the coating does offer some level of grip. When we pour our batter into the pan, the mix spreads a little further than we’d like. But, the pancake cooks and bubbles evenly. When we flip it, we see relatively even browning on the topside, though we don’t see the same on the underside.
The omelette is well-cooked; it's even and nicely browned all over. When trying to remove it from the pan, we do notice some resistance – not sticking per se, but the omelette isn’t releasing as easily as we’d hope, almost like the resistance you experience with static. Once we get it out, though, there is no residue left in the pan.
Conclusion
This reasonably priced frying pan comes in a range of sizes, so you can be specific about the one you choose or expand your existing collection.
It’s versatile as it goes from hob to oven with ease. The option to clean this frying pan in the dishwasher is a real plus.
This frying pan is comfortable to use and, despite some static-like resistance when cooking an omelette, nothing sticks to this pan.
