  • 454g Macsween Haggis
  • 2 eggs, beaten with a little milk (egg wash)
  • 50g plain flour
  • 100g plain breadcrumbs

    Method

    • step 1

      Remove the haggis from its bag and divide into small pieces,then roll into balls.
    • step 2

      Lay out three bowls: one with flour, one with the egg wash and one with the breadcrumbs.
    • step 3

      Coat the haggis balls in flour, dip into the egg to coat, then finally roll in the breadcrumbs.
    • step 4

      Store in the fridge before cooking.
    • step 5

      Deep-fry in vegetable oil for 3 minutes, then drain on kitchen paper before serving.

    Hi Debz. It was a few years ago you commented but wanted to see if you done these in the oven? I have just prepped & put them in the fridge. I don't have a deep fat frier either.
