Frequently asked questions

Can I set my own calorie and nutrient targets?
Yes, you can override the targets Nutracheck sets you and enter different figures. The ‘set my own goal’ option in the app lets you do this.

How does this app help me to lose weight?
To lose weight, you need to consume less calories that you burn – this is known as creating a calorie deficit. The Nutracheck app works this out for you, based on the personal details you’ve entered, and sets a daily calorie target to help you lose weight at a safe and sustainable rate of 1-2lbs per week.

What does the app track?
The Nutracheck app counts calories and tracks seven nutrients: protein, carbs, fat, saturated fat, sugar, fibre and salt. Your food diary also has special trackers for 5-a-day, water and alcohol units. You can also log calories burned through exercising, too.

Tracking your progress is important, so you can record your body weight along with 13 other measures, including waist and hip measurements, clothes size and % body fat.

I don't buy packaged foods and always cook from scratch, can I still use the app?
Definitely! The ‘My Meals’ section of the app is designed to calorie count your home-cooked meals and favourite recipes. You enter the ingredients and quantities and the app calculates the nutrient content per serving. You only enter your recipes once, and the app saves them for future use.

If you’re using a cookbook that already gives the calorie and nutrient values, you can just add a serving straight to your diary using the manual add feature in the app.

Which activity trackers does Nutracheck link with?
Nutracheck links with Fitbit, Garmin and your phone’s built-in motion sensor. Apple Watch plus 100s of other trackers can sync via the Apple Health App. Android phone users can sync other trackers via Google Fit.

What are the membership options?
Choose from a monthly or annual subscription. This will renew automatically for your convenience.

Subscriptions can be managed by yourself at any time via the App/Play Store, or by contacting customercare@nutracheck.co.uk

What does membership include?
Membership includes full access to both the Nutracheck app and website (nutracheck.co.uk). Features include:

• Progress – keep track of your weight, as well as 13 other body measurement i.e. waist, chest, thighs and body fat %.
