    Method

    • step 1

      Heat oven to 180 C / 160 C (fan assisted) / gas 4.
    • step 2

      Grease a large baking sheet
    • step 3

In a large bowl, mix the margarine/butter and sugar together until soft, then beat in the honey (using an electric whisk makes it quick and easy!)
    • step 4

Add the egg and cinnamon powder and mix well
    • step 5

In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, oats and raisins and mix together before adding to the butter mixture.
    • step 6

Drop heaped dessertspoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden
    • step 7

Remove them from the oven, they should be golden but will still seem a tiny bit soft to the touch. Leave them on the tray for a minute (this lets them settle slightly) before transferring them to a cooling tray to completely cool. Store in an air tight container or (if you're anything like me) dive straight in!

I made these with 50g liquid coconut oil instead of butter (as I wanted to use it up) and baked for 15 mins. Crispy outside, cakey inside. Delicious, and I love that they are relatively low fat, low sugar

    question

Hi how are these called Museli cookies? They are made with porridge and have no muesli at all. Very confused as porridge Museli, granola etc are very different ingredients. Please reply

Hi, thanks for your question. This is a 'Member recipe' so we can't say how they came up with the title, however we'd guess that the combination of oats and raisins (two of the main ingredients in muesli) give a muesli-style biscuit. We hope this helps. Best wishes, BBC Good Food Team.

Didn’t have wholemeal flour so used plain. Still delicious and a hit with hubby and kids. Will definitely make again.
