  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup blackcurrants (chopped)
  • 1/4 sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 sesame seeds

    Method

    • step 1

      Heat up sauce pan. Melt butter, sugar and syrup.
    • step 2

      Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
    • step 3

      Add melted butter mixture to dry ingredient and mix well.
    • step 4

      Transfer to a greased or lined baking tray. Smoothen or flatten the mixture. Bake in pre-heated oven 150C for 20-30 min (until golden brown)
    • step 5

      Remove from oven and cool it before cutting into desired size.

    Sadly the recipe is in cups and not uk measurements so I’ll have to use a different recipe

    Hi I always avoid recipes that give cups as measurements as when you google how much is a cup I find there are vastly different answers for all different foods which s confusing! Can you tell why this recipe uses the cup measurement and, if possible the metric weights of each of the ingredients…

    We found this a really delicious recipe as the addition of the blackcurrants make it less sweet. We did need to add quite a few more oats though maybe an exta 2/3 of a cup.
