Vegetable oil for brushing

  • 2 free range egg whites
  • 100g icing sugar
  • 260g flaked almonds
  • Grated zest of 1 orange
  • 100g Dark chocolate (optional)

    Method

    • step 1

      line a baking tray with baking paper and oil it
    • step 2

      mix the egg, almonds, orange and sugar
    • step 3

      with wet hands take little blobs out and place on tray then squish as thin as possible
    • step 4

      back at 150c for 12 mins
    • step 5

      after cooling brush one side with melted chocolate
