  • 200g butter
  • 150g golden granulated sugar
  • 50g solid honey
  • 30g ground almonds
  • 40g cocoa powder
  • 130g self raising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 50ml milk
  • 10-15 blanched almonds
  • 5 toblerone triangles (roughly chopped into bite size chunks)
  • flaked almonds (to decorate)
  • 1tsp baking powder

    Method

    • step 1

      1) Set oven to 180C. Add butter, honey and sugar to a bowl and beat till smooth
    • step 2

      2) Add flour, cocoa, ground almonds, eggs, baking powder and beat again till smooth.
    • step 3

      3) Stir in Toblerone and blanched almonds with a spoon then pour into a 20cm lined baking tin.
    • step 4

      4) Sprinkle with flaked almonds and cook for 40min to an hour.
    • step 5

      5) Leave to cool then serve.
