  • 100g/4oz Dairy Free Margarine ( Vitalite is good)
  • 85g/3oz Soft Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp of Golden Syrup
  • 170g/6oz Self Raising Flour
  • 100g/4oz Dairy Free Chocolate Chips or chopped chocolate
  • 2 Tsp of Kara Dairy Free Milk

    Method

    • step 1

      Pre heat the oven to 170C/150c fan
    • step 2

      Cream the margarine and sugar in a bowl until pale and fluffy.
    • step 3

      Stir in the golden syrup
    • step 4

      Stir in the flour slowly, bringing the mixture together. It looks very thick and sticky at this stage.
    • step 5

      Add the chocolate and the milk and mix until all ingredients are fully combined.
    • step 6

      Place teaspoons of the mixture on a greased baking tray evenly spaced apart
    • step 7

      Put into oven for 8-10 minutes until golden. The cookies are very soft when freshly cooked. Leave them for 5 minutes before transfering off the tray to cool
    • step 8

      Cookies best eaten within 2 days

    Seriously impressed with this recipe. V easy to make even with 3 year old helping. Refreshing to find a recipe that is egg / dairy/nut free that actually tastes delicious and doesn’t require obscure ingredients. Thank you for this, will defnately be making again

    My two daughters are allergic to dairy, egg and nuts so these biscuits were perfect, I made them with my 4 year old and they were delicious! My husband said they were the best biscuits he has tasted and he is something of a biscuit expert!
