  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 1 tin of heinz baked beans
  • 40g of grated mature cheddar

    Method

    • step 1

      Place both slices of white bread in toaster.
    • step 2

      Warm beans on the hob for 3 - 4 mins stirring constantly.
    • step 3

      Grate cheese.
    • step 4

      Place toast on plate. Pour on beans.
    • step 5

      Sprinkle with cheese according to taste.

    Hi, thanks for your question. You could try our recipe for 'Healthy baked beans' (bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/healthy-baked-beans) which will be similar.     I substituted the beans for a beef ragu and didn't have any bread so used fettucine instead, brilliant recipe!
