The competition

15. The competition will be organised in two phases:

Phase 1:
All the eligible entries will be reviewed by the judging panel and a shortlist of 8 entrants selected (the “Finalists”). The judges will be looking for recipes which meet the required criteria and videos which are engaging and informative, and in a style suitable for social media publication.

The Finalists will be notified on 11 October 2024 by email and invited to proceed to Phase 2 of the competition.

Phase 2:
The Finalists from Phase 1 will be invited to take part in a live cooking challenge, to be held at Sauce by The Langham in London on 28 October 2024 (the “Live Challenge”).

The Live Challenge will involve all the Finalists participating in a live cooking demonstration and a short interview, all of which will be filmed. Full details of the Live Challenge will be provided to the Finalists on 11 October 2024, and it will require the Finalists create an original midweek meal recipe which they can prepare and cook in no more than 1 hour.

The judging panel will select 1 winner and 4 runners up from the Finalists, based on:

• Successful fulfilment of the recipe criteria set for the Live Challenge.

• The creativity of the recipe, and its execution during the Live Challenge. The judges will be looking for well-balanced flavours and attractive presentation.

• Ability to perform on-camera during the Live Challenge, in an engaging and natural manner.

Please note that if you are selected to proceed to Phase 2:

• You must be available to attend the Live Challenge on 28 October 2024 between 9am- 6pm.

• You will be provided with further guidelines ahead of Phrase 2. Please do not wear branded clothing to the Live Challenge.

• You must submit your recipe for the Live Challenge to Immediate no later than 23 October 2024 and provide Immediate with a full list of kitchen equipment required.

• Your recipe must be your original work and must not infringe the rights of any third parties, including copyright, trade marks, trade secrets, privacy, personal or proprietary rights.

• You may bring a guest (over the age of 18 years) with you to attend Phase 2. The guest is not permitted to provide any assistance to you during the Live Challenge.

• Reasonable UK travel expenses to and from the venue for you and one guest (if requested) will be covered by Immediate. No accommodation, sustenance or other expenses will be covered. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided at the venue during the Live Challenge. If your travel time to the venue is estimated to be over 3 (three) hours, Immediate may, at its sole discretion, provide hotel accommodation close to the venue for the night before the Live Challenge.

• The entire Live Challenge will be filmed and you will be required to sign consent forms in order to participate.
