Ninja Foodi Dual Zone air-fryer AF451UK summary
With a large capacity, dual-zone cooking abilities, six functions and cooking pre-sets available thanks to the internal temperature probe, this is a premium model from air-fryer giant Ninja.
The Ninja Foodi Dual Zone air-fryer AF451UK looks impressive right out of the box with an elegant matte finish on the body and stainless steel handles to the drawers. Its size and stature make it eye-catching on a countertop but means that you need plenty of space, especially as its height means it won’t fit under most cupboards.

How easy is the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone air-fryer AF451UK to use?
As we’ve come to expect from Ninja, this air-fryer comes with a comprehensive manual which answered all our questions and included additional information about the recommended cooking times and temperature for individual ingredients.
You can use the Sync and Match functions to either use both drawers at the same temperature for the same time, for example if cooking a large batch of chips, or to have the drawers cooking at different temperatures programmed to finish at the same time.
The non-stick coating makes all elements of the air-fryer super easy to clean, plus the drawers and removable shelves are dishwasher safe.
Cooking results
We cooked our chips for 20 minutes at 200C and they had a crisp outside while still retaining a fluffy middle. Our sliced aubergine had a really nice golden colour with a concentrated flavour after being cooked at 200C for 10 minutes.
The probe is what sets this air-fryer apart from Ninja’s other dual-zone models, and we used it to cook our chicken breast on test. Once you’ve placed the probe you need to choose from the pre-set cooking options, and the air-fryer will then select a recommended internal temperature that needs to be reached for the food to be cooked. It did take some trial and error to use the probe.
We found it slightly confusing that the beep to indicate the chicken was cooked came before it had reached the desired temperature, but this is because the chicken continues to cook once removed from the air-fryer during the resting period. With a further consultation of the manual we got the hang of it it, and it became a useful tool for quick and easy cooking.
How sustainable is the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone air-fryer AF451UK?
The packaging our air-fryer was delivered in was largely recyclable cardboard and paper, although there were quite a few adhesive stickers on the body of the machine that couldn’t be recycled.
Ninja is adept at providing spare parts for its appliances and this air-fryer is no exception. You can buy replacements for each drawer, the drawer inserts, the probe and the main unit of the air-fryer as well as numerous accessories. This means that if an element breaks you don’t have to buy a completely new machine, plus this model comes with a two year guarantee.
Conclusion
If you’re after a premium air-fryer which takes all of the guesswork out of cooking, this model from Ninja could be a great option. The dual-drawer design and large capacity makes it a flexible piece of kit, and while the cooking probe takes some getting used to, it is a useful tool for cooking meat and fish to the correct temperature.
