Kenwood Elegancy kettle review
Read on for our full review of this classically-designed kettle from Kenwood.
Pros
- Light and quick
Cons
- The plastic's look and feel isn't for everyone
Kenwood Elegancy kettle summary
Simple, lightweight and elegant, this Kenwood does the basics well. It comes in a choice of colourways – ours was a pleasant sage green, with a contrasting lighter green on bottom of the kettle and the base. Matching toasters are available too. There's a fluted pattern on the lid and bottom of the kettle, and a contrasting silver on-switch. We liked the white light that lit up when it was in action.
How easy is it to use?
The wide spout makes pouring quick and smooth and the kettle boiled quietly. It’s pretty speedy too, averaging around 2:07 for a litre.
The bottom of the handle isn’t joined to the kettle body, so it’s particularly easy to see the water level as you are filling it as your hand doesn’t get in the way. Markings are clear.
Summary
Sometimes simplicity is a strength and with it's pull-off lid and wide opening, this traditional kettle would be an excellent lightweight option for older people or anyone wanting the basics. Other colours are available, including cream and purple.
