Tefal Loft kettle KO250840 summary
Light in weight and efficient, the Tefal Loft is a good mid-range kettle that does what it needs to without making any fuss. We particularly liked the wide pull-off lid, which comes off easily and gives a good space to fill it.

Tefal Loft kettle first impressions
Like all the kettles we tested, this has a 360 degree base, which means you can spin the kettle round so it can be picked up with your left or right hand. If you’re not bothered about that, it also means you can choose whether you want to see the branded or unbranded side of the appliance.
There’s a chunky, solid-feeling 'on' switch, and the kettle poured smoothly. The water level is under the handle, but easy to read.
Our model was a smart black and silver design though it also comes in red and a blue/rose gold. It’s textured, with an unusual fluted design.
How is the Tefal Loft kettle to use?
This is pleasingly quick, boiling at an average of 2 minutes 14 seconds, though it is a little on the noisy side. Unlike many kettles, which leave you in no doubt that they are heating up, there is just a small light at the bottom of the 'on' switch, which might mean you have to glance at it twice to be sure it’s heating up.
The removable filter is a bonus if you’re in a hard-water area and is easy to take in and out.
