How does the Emma Bridgewater kettle perform?
As well as scoring highly in looks, the kettle oozes quality. It’s extremely quiet compared to most others, which is a major bonus if you’re watching TV or listening to the radio in the same room. The wide spout also pours really smoothly. We particularly liked how easy it was to wrap the cord of the kettle around the base.
The lid is pull-off, but designed in a loop so you hook your fingers into it to remove the lid, and the broad handle at the top of the kettle is easy to grip.
The on/off switch is pleasingly chunky too. A single red light shows the kettle is working when it’s switched on, and there’s a removable filter as well.
In terms of performance, the kettle boils a litre of water in 2 minutes 16 seconds.
