Pros
- Stylish with substance
Cons
- Requires long charge
Cuisinart RHM100U cordless power hand mixer summary
With a sleek metallic finish and clean modern lines, this Cusinart mixer is certainly stylish, but thankfully it doesn’t fall into the ‘style over substance’ category. In our tests, the stainless steel beaters effortlessly whisked cream and egg whites, and it coped just as well when mixing a thick buttercream. You’ll have to pull the beaters out by hand, though, as there’s no eject button.
This cordless mixer requires a 130-minute charge, but that’ll give you 20 minutes of cordless mixing, which is ample time for most tasks. Having the freedom to mix anywhere makes this a practical choice, so long as you remember to keep it charged. Having said that, there are three lights that steadily start to turn off as the battery level reduces, so you do get a warning that it needs a recharge.
It’s quiet and nicely balanced, with a handle that’s more comfortable than it looks. The beaters are dishwasher safe-for easy cleaning.

Our first impressions of the Cuisinart RHM100U cordless power hand mixer
With absolutely zero plastic included, we're immediately impressed by Cuisinart’s sustainable packaging. The mixer itself has a distinctly modern and stylish shape that’s quite striking in comparison to most other mixers. Our first impression of the handle is that the slim, wide shape won’t be very comfortable, but we're pleased to feel some textured grip on the underside.
This cord-free mixer allows you the freedom to mix wherever you like, without considering if there’s a power socket close by. However, you will have to remember to keep it charged, because if you run out of battery, a full charge will take around 130 minutes.
On top of the handle there’s an on/off switch as well as a speed button that cycles through the five available speeds. The current speed is displayed on a small screen. It doesn’t have an eject button – the beaters are removed by pulling them out.
How is the Cuisinart RHM100U cordless power hand mixer to use?
This Cuisinart mixer doesn’t come with dough hooks, so we couldn’t use it for bread dough, but the thick twin wire beaters are sturdy enough to cope with dense mixtures, such as buttercream. It whisks egg whites and cream to perfection, too.
We're surprised that the handle is more comfortable than it looks, resting snugly in the hand – the mixer feels well-balanced. It’s quiet, even when mixing at the fastest speed, and we don’t experience much vibration through the handle.
While not exactly a necessity, cord-free mixing does give you more freedom to choose where you mix, and it’s great if your spare power socket is in an awkward part of the kitchen. With a full charge, you’ve got up to 20 minutes of mixing time, which is more than enough for most tasks.
Our verdict
A super-sleek and modern cordless hand mixer for convenient mixing without the constraints of a cable. It performs well, but comes with a hefty price tag to match.
