Method

  • step 1

Pull the chicken into strips, then cut it into chunks small enough to pick up on a fork. Put in a large bowl.

  • step 2

Use your scissors to snip the hairy root ends off the spring onions and throw away. Snip the rest of the spring onion into pieces. Add to the chicken.

  • step 3

Use scissors or a small knife to cut the pepper into strips and then pieces. Like the chicken you want the pieces to be small enough to pick up.

  • step 4

Measure the soy sauce, sesame oil (or seeds) and honey into the bowl, mix together. Ask a grown-up helper to cook the noodles at the same time.

  • step 5

Tip the hot noodles into the bowl and mix everything together with a large spoon or pair of tongs.

  • step 6

Divide the noodles between 2 bowls and add some fresh coriander to each one, if you like it.

Nice. My children are too young to cook yet, but I made it as a quick healthy dish. I cooked the veg a little first.

Delicious, super speedy and simple! Admittedly altered it somewhat, used quorn chicken style pieces, more spring onion, a yellow pepper, sugar snap peas & tenderstem broccoli, also added a tsp of Chinese Five Spice to the marinade. Stir fried quorn and veg, added marinade and then ready to wok…

Brilliant quick dish, we used turkey, added some baby corn and sugar snap peas. My 8 year old loved it...and I added a bit of chilli to mine. Job done. Nice dish for kids as it has a nice sweet coating that isn't overpowering. Lovely.

Nice, fresh vegetable and healthy dish, easy to make quickly. Felt that the sesame oil was too greasy for the children.

I usually slice my spring onions lengthways before snipping into pieces, this is more acceptable to the children who don't like thick chunks of onion. It also goes further when mixed into a salad.
