Oh God. Don't use this recipe for cocktails. It is FAR too sweet, and will likely cloud or solidify after cooling in a bottle. Most recipes use 1:1 - one part sugar to one part water of equal amounts. This recipe uses 300g sugar to 150 water, so 2:1. The end result is a cloudy thick mixture that is…

Hi, dissolve it until you can no longer feel any grains of sugar. The liquid should be clear but occasionally it might be a little cloudy - just check there are no grains of sugar. Best wishes, BBC Good Food Team.
