Method

  • step 1

    Put the vegetables, potatoes, and stock into a soup blender, and press the ‘smooth soup’ function. Make sure you don’t fill the soup maker above the max fill line.

  • step 2

    Once the cycle is complete, season, and pour into bowls with a dollop of crème fraîche and some herbs.

Hi, thanks for your question. Yes in theory you can, but it will absorb a lot of liquid so you will need to add extra liquid if adding the pearl barley raw. It will also depend on your soup maker - it will need to be cooked on the chunky setting, and will need quite a long cooking time (usually…
