- 50ml evaporated milk
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 25ml freshly brewed espresso
- pinch of ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of finely grated orange zest
- ice

Method
step 1
Put all the ingredients in a large cocktail shaker or jug with a generous handful of ice.
step 2
If using a shaker, shake well until the outside feels cold, then double strain into tumblers. If using a jug, stir well until combined. Serve poured over ice.

Hi, can this be made and put into a hot chocolate? I love a wee baileys hot chocolate, but would prefer not to be drinking alcohol each time.

I really dislike coffee. Would this work without the espresso or is it an integral ingredient. If it is, I wonder if an alternative could be used such as hot chocolate?

Hi, thanks for your question. We'd suggest making a thin paste of cocoa powder and boiling water (perhaps around 1 tbsp cocoa powder made up to 25ml in volume with the water) and leaving to cool. Yes im SO GLAD there is NO alcohol in this recipe! I think the future is definitely moving against alcohol consumption in general, and this is one of the most yummiest ones! Esp for ppl who cannot drink alcohol

Does this have a shelf life or will it split? I was hoping to make up a bottle to give on Christmas eve to a guest who can't imbibe the alcoholic version.

Hi, thanks for your question. For best results make it when ready to serve, however it will keep in the fridge for up to 2 days. If making it in advance then don't shake with ice. Instead mix all the ingredients without ice. Make sure your guest gives the bottle a shake before pouring and serves it…
