Method

  • step 1

    Heat oven to 160C/140C fan/gas 4. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a pinch of salt, then spread out on a baking tray.

  • step 2

    Roast for 30-35 mins until golden, pulling the tray out of the oven twice while cooking to give everything a good stir – this will help the granola toast evenly. Leave to cool. Will keep in an airtight container for one month.

Could I replace the rapeseed oil with coconut oil?

You can. I have another granola recipe (it’s actually a berry crumble but I just make the topping and then it’s granola )from the telegraph and it’s a healthy no sugar recipe which uses coconut oil.

This is excellent and delicious. Not a fan of cinnamon but added ground nutmeg as a replacement. I too doubled the recipes to save the electricity.

this is lush, I made double the recipe - its a great base, you can adapt what you add - the orange zest livens it up and the spices are just right.
