Method

  • step 1

Combine the lemon zest and sugar on a small plate. Dip the rim of a coupe glass in water, then the sugar mixture. Set aside.

  • step 2

Put all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels icy cold. Strain through a fine sieve into the prepared glass.

Recipe tip

This mocktail works well with alcohol-free gin, but cold water will allow the lemon flavour to shine through with more intensity.

question

Can you use honey instead of marmalade, if not, is there an alternative for marmalade?

Surprisingly nice, as the ingredients are interesting. I would say that if I made it next time, I would add slightly less vinegar.

tip

Add the marmalade early and stir, so it has more chance to dissolve, or use a fork to whisk it a little before adding ice and shaking. Be careful not to add too much white wine vinegar! Goes great with seedlip no alcohol gin.
