Method

  • step 1

    Mix the cooked chicken with the apple and horseradish sauce, then season. Spoon mixture into 24 mini croustades or onto toasted rounds of country-style bread and top with watercress.

MAKE IT DIFFERENT

Use the chicken mixture to fill 8 cooked mini Yorkshire puddings (available from the freezer cabinet) for an alternative party bite.

lovely, filled the cases last minute to save soggy bottoms, mixed the horseradish with creme fraiche as I wasn't sure my guests wouldlike it too hot

Very easy. I made the filling in advance, the apple did not dis-colour. Will make again, but may not use so much horseradish. Hot!

These are very simple to make (I chopped up the chicken in advance then added the apple and horseradish at the last minute), looked impressive and went quickly!
