Method

  • step 1

    Heat half the oil or lard in a frying pan over a medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the bread for 1 min 30 seconds until golden, then add the remaining oil or lard, turn the bread over and cook for another 1 min 30 seconds, until golden on both sides.

Sunflower oil is low in saturated fat, high in Unsaturated.

It's the saturated fats that are bad for you... Lard is a prime example.. you can normally tell if the animal fat is solid at room temperature.... like butter

Im not saying dont use lard, but theres a load of bunk being said here...
