Put the apples in a saucepan with the cinnamon, raisins and 2 tbsp water. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook for 10-15 mins until the apples are very soft.

Spoon the stewed apples into bowls, and serve with a dollop of the yogurt and a drizzle of maple syrup, if you like. Will keep chilled in an airtight container for up to three days.

question

Can this be frozen?

Hello, yes the apple can be frozen for up to two months. Cool completely then store in an airtight container. Defrost overnight in the fridge or in the microwave, then reheat until piping hot to serve. Thanks for your question - Good Food Team

Hey @bbcgoodfood you guys are missing the final word in first sentence. Pretty sure it will be 'soft', but you know what folk are like.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Yes that's right it should be 'soft'. We will amend this. Best wishes, BBC Good Food Team.

"cover and cook for 10-15 mins until the apples are very" Very what?

This is an easy, tasty way to use up a glut of apples. I didn't need the extra sweetness of maple syrup.
