Method

  • step 1

Make the sauce by mixing together all the ingredients in a small bowl. Then set aside until ready to eat.

  • step 2

Pat the steaks dry with kitchen paper. Mix together the olive oil, spices and a little salt, then rub or brush over both sides of meat. Heat a griddle pan or barbecue until hot and smoking. Cook the steaks for 3 mins each side for rare, 4 for medium and 5 for well done. Then remove to a board and leave to rest for a couple of mins. Slice the steaks on the diagonal into thin pieces and serve with the chimichurri sauce to spoon over.

Absolutely great, the rub on the steaks plus the herby sauce is a total winner. So easy and delicious with some chunky chips and a green salad.

Wow. Outstanding! Used red wine vinegar as didn't have white. Rump was on offer. 1 steak between 2, served on a bed of spinach with a baked sweet potato and the chimichurri drizzled over both. I think I might have my favourite Friday night treat ever! In fact it might even be a new salad dressing!

We love this dish and have it at least once a month. The sauce is to die for. We serve ours with homemade chunky chips and a big salad. I make extra sauce and keep it in a jar for a few days as it's nice as a dip too!

Just double the sauce if lack of sauce is a problem ??

A winner in my house, a really lovely way to liven up steak. we just have it as it is with good bread and buttered green beans, leaves lots of room for cheese then!!!
