What is an Aperol spritz?
Aperol spritz is a sparkling wine-based cocktail, normally consumed as an aperitif before dinner. Originally created in Padua, Italy in 1919, this refreshing alcoholic beverage only became popular around the world in the late 2010s. Aperol spritz typically consists of Aperol (bitters), prosecco and soda water.
What does Aperol spritz taste like?
This cocktail is light and refreshing, with a bittersweet, aromatic taste. Due to its low ABV of 11%, it makes for the perfect low-alcohol drink to serve before dinner or at a summer party.

The recipe calls for a serving of 2, but I think we can all agree this quite blatantly a drink for 1. To be getting on with.

Loved it ever since I first tasted it in Verona, 10 years ago, but notice Aperol now suggest 50/50 Aperol/Prosecco as apparently it's better...so nothing to do with making you drink more Aperol!

Tastes delicious - very refreshing. I like to put a slice of orange in mine as well.
