Waitrose Cellar Black Friday deals

Waitrose Cellar is offering 25% off a variety of whites, reds, rosés and fizz in the lead-up to Christmas, so you can stock up on old favourites or new discoveries ahead of the festive period. Popular offerings include Bird in Hand Pinot Noir Rosé, described as smooth and refreshingly dry, and a crisp Champteloup Muscadet Sèvre et Maine with notes of lemon.

There are also deals on selected fine wines until 26 November – the discounts aren't huge, but if you had your eye on one of these bottles anyway, now's your chance to make a saving.

Buy three selected bottles and save 25% on M&S wine at Ocado

Ocado Black Friday deals

How do we find and select Black Friday wine deals

We've noticed that prices can fluctuate a lot at this time of year – especially as retailers try to compete with each other and products go out of stock. With this in mind, we're continuing to keep a close eye on what brands are offering throughout the sales period, and for how long, to ensure you're getting the best deal.

When it comes to selecting wine deals, we only feature deals from retailers we trust – but that doesn't mean we just look at the big supermarkets. We also look at smaller brands, too, including specialist wine retailers that might be offering prices that their larger counterparts can't. You can find further tips on shopping safely over Black Friday in our guide on how to avoid online scams.

How to get a good wine deal on Black Friday

  • Buy in bulk It's not worth spending extra just for the sake of it, but if you're already planning on purchasing a few bottles, look for 'buy more to save' deals from supermarkets and online retailers. Fenwick, for example, is offering 10% off if you buy any four bottles.
  • Set a budget and stick to it Sales periods like Black Friday offer good opportunities to save money, but if you really want to make the most of the discounts, try to stick to a budget. Only purchase when you see a price you're fully happy with.
  • Look for extra savings As well as offering a deal on the RRP of the wine, some online retailers throw in additional savings on top, like free shipping or money off your first order. For example, new customers to The Good Food Wine Club in partnership with Laithwaites can save an extra 30% and free delivery.
