Rachel Holding is marketing executive for the Academy of Cheese, a role which perfectly marries her love for all things cheese-related with her CIM diploma in marketing. Wanting to work with food from an early age, she qualified in Catering and Hospitality Studies at Westminster College. Her love for cheese blossomed in the early 2000s when she trained on the cheese and provisions counter at Fortnum & Mason. This in turn led to a managerial role at a deli in South West London, where she was able to cultivate her passion and knowledge of artisanal cheese. Eight years working on a farm later, she took the role at the Academy of Cheese, where she continues to grow her cheese knowledge, through tasting, reviewing and writing for digital, as well as traditional media. She has a personal mission to taste as many cheeses as possible and to encourage this passion in others.
