Method

  • step 1

    Mix the soft cheese with 2 tbsp basil pesto. Take the pack grissini (bread sticks) and halve each one. Cut the prosciutto into strips and wrap around the end of each grissini. Serve alongside the pesto dip. Scatter the pine nuts over dip and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil before serving.

Absolutely Delicious and really simple to make! Made this as part of a nibbles selection I did for a party recently. It was a huge hit - i used a variety of breadsticks rather than grissinis and it worked a treat. Visually great as well - didn't put the oil or pine nuts on top but still was awesome.…

Great canape. Much enjoyed by guests but you must leave the ham wrapping to the very last minute to avoid droopy breadsticks! Also don't use mascapone because it splits when you add the pesto.

when would you suggest to wrap the ham to avoid the breadsticks from becoming soggy? and at the same time have them ready before the guests come?
